Why Use Hypnosis for Weight Loss?
Is there anyone on the planet over twelve years old who doesn't know what it takes to "lose weight"? I'll bet there are some younger children who can tell you all about the need to eat healthy, eat smaller portions and to exercise in order to shed unhealthy fat and lose weight.
When we speak about losing weight we are really talking about releasing fat. We want to keep our muscle and release the fat, plain and simple. That is the part of our physical weight we desire to release, not lose, but release. Anything you lose you want to find, anything you don't want you throw away or release.
So why would hypnosis be necessary or even suggested if everyone seems to know what it takes to lose weight? It's easy to understand, actually. The approach typically used when making the behavior and thought changes it takes to allow the body to start releasing fat is done with will power, conscious thinking and force. It just doesn't work! If it did everyone would succeed at their goals.
Why is it people think the next eating plan or dreaded diet will be the magic information they haven't found yet? They are all pretty much the same. Eat healthy, eat when hungry, stop when full and be active - exercise and move your body. The problem is deeper than you think.
Our unnatural habitual behaviors, like eating when not hungry, overeating and choosing knowingly unhealthy food, are directed by the subconscious mind. Imagine your conscious, thinking, analytical mind is like the keyboard to a computer, you. It doesn't matter what commands you type on the computer. If the commands are not compatible with the programs stored on the hard drive, your subconscious, it won't happen.
What is necessary in order to access the subconscious mind in order to reframe the behaviors, based on conditioning, emotional need or a way to be distracted from emotional pain is hypnosis. Hypnosis is the process that is safe, natural and effective to accomplish behavior change and has been used in cultures around the world for centuries.
Keep in mind our western medicine is only about 80 years old and treats the symptoms, not the cause, and yet people had been healing before this approach. And for some reason, profit being a big part of it, our society's belief is pharmaceuticals will be the answer. If this were so we would have a much better health system and people would all find relief to their issues, but it just keeps getting worse.
When we look at and treat the cause to a problem, the symptoms automatically are reduced or eliminated and true relief can be experienced. The common cause to using any substance is to smother uncomfortable emotions or to find false pleasure, fill emotional voids.
Once the deeper issues of the individual's emotional needs are focused on the need for a substance, abusing food is no longer an issue. It is then the individual can find their personal relief, happiness and true health in mind and body.
